If you’re looking for a family oriented wilderness campground you may want to head to Pinters Campground in Rosedale, on Hyw 10 six km south east of Drumheller.
Christine and David Pinter are third generation on this homestead, which is why they have many happy campers returning year after year.
Opening the campground in 2000, they have sites to suit your comfort level from pitching a tent or parking your RV in a quiet secluded wooded area. There’s hiking and biking trails or you can enjoy the cool Red Deer River which runs along the entire length of the campground.
Be sure to bring your camera because there is abundance of wildlife to keep every age in wonder and awe.
Nearby there is a 117-metre long suspension bridge and the Old Star Mine Coal Mining site.
This is an Alberta location worth checking out – we did. If you want more information please email Pinters at pinters@aismail.ca
