The Blackfalds Skare Park Officially opened on June 16.
Lacombe-Ponoka MLA Ron Orr, during the opening ceremony, commended the Town of Blackfalds and Optimist Club of Blackfalds for building the park. He said the skate park matters, “Because youth matter: communities that support their youth with good healthy, physical, and skills developing activities have youth that become good contributors to community life. Healthy activity and skills development lead to self-confidence, self-respect self-worth. All are important individual and maturity developments.”
